UC Irvine’s Federal Government Affairs serves as the primary liaison between UC Irvine and members of Congress, the White House and federal agencies. The team builds relationships and advances federal support for UC Irvine’s research, educational and public service initiatives, representing the university in Washington, D.C., and advocating for faculty, staff and students.

The Federal Government Affairs team tracks and engages with policy issues ranging from research funding to student aid programs.  By connecting UC Irvine experts with policymakers, the team helps inform legislative decisions and fosters partnerships that advance research and higher education.

From congressional briefings, policy engagement and collaborative initiatives, Federal Government Affairs highlights UC Irvine’s role as a driver of innovation and a trusted partner in advancing the public good.
