Irvine’s Federal Government Affairs serves as the primary liaison between UC Irvine and members of Congress, the White House, and federal agencies. Our charge is to build key relationships and generate federal support for broad campus research, educational, and public service initiatives. We represent UC Irvine in Washington, D.C., and advocate for the voices of our faculty, staff, and students.
Our Federal Government Affairs team tracks and engages with policy issues ranging from research funding to student aid programs. We work to connect UC Irvine experts to policymakers, informing legislative decisions alongside our innovative research and experience. Our team also builds partnerships to help collectively advance both research and educational institutions.
From congressional briefings to collaborative initiatives, UC Irvine’s Federal Government Affairs team highlights our university’s role as a driver of innovation. By fostering constructive relationships and upholding our commitment to the university’s and public good, we help ensure that UC Irvine remains a trusted partner to federal leaders and generates positive change nationwide.
