UC Irvine’s Local Government and Community Relations team serves as the bridge between the University and Orange County’s civic, business, and non-profit communities. Our team works to bring together local leaders, industry partners, and valuable community advocates to facilitate collaboration and help shape the University’s role in the local community and economy. Through developing meaningful partnerships, we create spaces where our innovations can meet our community’s needs.
We also help facilitate dialogue between our community stakeholders and the UC Irvine community. Through exchanging ideas and expertise, these interactions can bring mutual understanding and unity through connections that translate to practical solutions for all of Orange County.
Our focus extends to connecting local priorities with UC Irvine’s strengths in research. We help develop solutions that address real challenges and have a lasting impact on the community. Through this work, our team helps ensure that UC Irvine remains an engaged part of Orange County’s community. We work to help create a future where education, research, and public service are integral to the community’s success and growth.
